On a spring eve,near a rippling cascade
my cottage lay low and sad.
Visions of the past blurred my eyes,
when i'd hide and my daughter would find.
Lying dreamy in my own swoon
suddenly i saw the dazzling white moon.
Memories of my honey sweet child began to bloom
her fond memories and the tender tune.
The green fields overflowed with harmony
my laziness jolted by the ceremony.
Which the deer and fawn delightfully celebrated
the mother with all affection her loved one treated
Soon the sky grey clouds bore
and the soft flakes began to moisten the core
On seeing this my daughter would ever bloom
now the deer and fawn ran into my room
Like a sweet hostess did i them treat
gave them some fresh grass to eat
The night went by with sounds so sweet
the fawn danced merrily about the deer's feet
On the misty morn as the kokilas hailed the day
the chirping of birds made me gay
I came out to see the plants gently sway
for the deer and fawn no longer in my cottage lay
There i saw both of them play
under the shady branches on top of the hay
Eerie stillness of surroundings forever went away
And i knew my child's memories were here to stay
